Geomagnetic field model for .NET and Python

Geopack implements the Geopack-2008 model by N. A. Tsyganenko: the internal field (IGRF), external magnetosphere models and transforms between solar-terrestrial coordinate systems. Results match the original Fortran code to 12 decimal digits.

Geopack is not only a .NET package. It also ships as a full native Python library: one pip command installs it, and it needs neither the .NET runtime nor other dependencies.

Installation

.NET package (NuGet)

dotnet add package AuroraScienceHub.Geopack

Python library (PyPI)

pip install geopack-2008

Python 3.8 or newer. The .NET runtime is not needed.
